Removing Ultra HDR should not require another lossy JPEG encode. For a valid Ultra HDR JPEG, this tool keeps the authored SDR primary image, removes MPF and gain-map XMP signals, and discards trailing gain-map data after the primary image.
The cleaned result is probed again before download. Ordinary Exif and ICC data can remain when safely separable, while mixed XMP segments containing gain-map references are removed as a whole and listed in the result summary.
Removal is verified as a structure change, not assumed because a new filename was created. The processor keeps the primary SDR JPEG scan, removes gain-map MPF and XMP signals, discards the linked secondary payload, then runs the detector again. Ordinary Exif or ICC data remains when it can be separated safely from the gain-map metadata.
