Choose the right tool for the job

All three scanners decode bounded image passes locally, but their result handling is purpose-specific. The general page identifies common one- and two-dimensional symbologies, UPC mode restricts results to UPC-A and UPC-E with check-digit normalization, and QR mode classifies decoded content before presenting any URL action.

Upload and clipboard input work well for screenshots, while camera access is requested only after the camera action is chosen. No scanner automatically opens a link or contacts a product database. That separation keeps a successful visual decode from becoming an unreviewed navigation or an unexpected third-party lookup.
